Lions Flip Pancakes For Dads

Share a stack of pancakes with dad and Hawaii Kai Lions Club at the 42nd annual Father’s Day Pancake Breakfast from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. June 21 at Kaiser High School’s cafeteria.

“(The breakfast) continues to be one of the largest events of its kind in the state,” said Lion Ken Nishibun.

The menu features pancakes, sausages, eggs and coffee or juice, and the club expects to sell approximately 3,500 meals at the fundraiser. Collected monies support Lions Club volunteer projects including the Hawaii Kai Holiday Parade, vision and hearing screenings for East Oahu schoolchildren, Kaiser High’s Project Graduation and more.

Tickets are $6 and will be available in advance and at the door.

For more information, call breakfast chairman and incoming club president David Awana at 224-3258 or alohadad@gmail.com. Hawaii Kai Lions Club meets at 7 p.m. on first and third Thursdays at Lunalilo Home.
