Waipahu Library Offers Free Comics, ‘Happy’

Families can enjoy two free programs Saturday at Waipahu Library.

Free Comic Book Day kicks off at 9 a.m., and those with valid library cards can take home one free comic book, while supplies last. Friends of the Library of Hawaii, Gecko Books & Comics and Collector Maniacs sponsor the giveaway.

Then, at 11:30 a.m., Honolulu Theatre for Youth performs Happy, a production that promotes kindness and friendship. The 30-minute show is sponsored by the Mayor’s Office of Culture and the Arts for the City & County of Honolulu and is suitable for keiki ages 3 and up. (Children age 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult.)
