Joyce Sakai has been promoted to senior vice president and team leader, Commercial Real Estate Division with First Hawaiian Bank. She is responsible for handling the division’s high-profile clients. Sakai has more than 27 years of banking experience, and first joined FHB in 2000 as vice president and business banking officer, Kapiolani Banking Region.
Michael A. Onofrietti has been appointed senior vice president of actuarial services, product development and management with Island Insurance. He previously was vice president, and he will continue to be responsible for developing techniques for pricing insurance products, loss reserving and data analysis, as well as the development, management and implementation of new products.
D.J. Dole has been hired as vice president, loan manager with Honolulu HomeLoans. He will originate loans as well as build and lead a team of loan officers. He previously worked as a private mortgage banker for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage for 13 years and has more than 14 years of experience.
Stewart Crawford, Ph.D., has been appointed to the ABET Computing Accreditation Commission with Hawaii Pacific University. ABET is the recognized accreditor for college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering and engineering technology. He is computer science department chairman and teaches courses that include Web development, programming languages, software engineering, project management and computer literacy.
Jocelyn Des Laurier has been hired as business development manager with Cumming’s Honolulu office. She will support Cumming’s business development and overall strategic growth efforts, helping to further expand the company’s local footprint. Cumming is an international project management and cost consulting firm.
