Kindness Of Strangers
Dear Pamela,
I just wanted to say thank you to the angel who paid for our breakfast. My daughter and I had a long morning, and we were tired and hungry, so we decided to eat at Zippy’s Kapolei.
To our surprise, when I went to pay my bill, our waitress told me that the lady sitting next to us with two little boys paid our bill.
I want to say to her that her generosity is appreciated.

When I arrived at the drive-through window at the Kaneohe Starbucks to pay for my coffee yesterday, the cashier informed me that the person ahead of me already had paid for it.
I was stunned, as to my knowledge, I did not know this person.
I am writing to you, with the hope that this very special person will know how much I appreciated such a beautiful act of kindness.

It was a day of exasperation and desperation for two seniors.
We hit our tire on a curb so hard it lost all of its air. We did not bring our cell phones, so we entreated a kind woman to contact AAA for us.
In the meantime, a passing gentleman and his son, visiting from Kauai, offered to help put on the spare tire. We feel so blessed and thankful for the kindness of these people. We hope we didn’t overly inconvenience them.

While waiting in line at the checkout counter in Longs Kaimuki, I waved ahead the man behind me because he only had one item.
Then, when I went to pay, the cashier said the gentleman had paid for my purchase. I was taken aback and so touched by his kindness.

After shopping at Longs Pearlridge, I loaded my car and left. A few minutes later I realized my handbag was not there. I rushed back to Longs, where someone had turned it in. I was so relieved that some kind person did that. I wish this person many blessings from the bottom of my heart.

Our Christmas dinner at Kailua Zippy’s was made extra special by a complete stranger. A grand mahalo to Charlani, who surprised us by taking care of our meal. We are so touched. Mahalo to our server Michelle.
