Morning Brew Hosts High School Art Show

Visual arts students at Kailua High School have created some fine things to look at in a second annual exhibit opening this week at Morning Brew coffee house and bistro.

The “Global Connections” show runs from April 16 through May 8, with a student reception planned for 6 to 7:30 p.m. this Friday at the coffee house in Kailua Shopping Center.

“This year,” explained art teacher Noni Floyd, “in honor of His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama’s visit to the Aloha State, the show honors our cultural connections through batiks, mosaics and mandalas, as well as a schoolwide collaborative peace quilt in honor of the Dalai Lama’s Peace Initiative.”
