Walter Hiranaka Wins A $150 Spree At Safeway

On Thursday, Walter Hiranaka needed milk, so he made a stop at Safeway in Manoa. As he left the store at 9:30 a.m., MidWeek‘s representative approached Walter with a simple question. He answered correctly and instantly won a $150 Safeway spree.

“I like shopping at Safeway because they have good service and the prices are reasonable,” said this week’s Mystery Shopper, a retired pharmacist.

Walter was born and raised in Moiliili and graduated from Saint Louis School in 1946. He and wife Vi have two grown daughters and two granddaughters. In his free time, Walter enjoys exercising and watching sports. He also likes to read MidWeek.

“I look forward to it coming every week,” he said. “I read through the whole thing, and I look forward to the weekly ads.”
