Locations Dropping ‘Prudential’

Prudential Locations is “moving to its roots as an independent local company,” according to CEO Bill Chee, commenting on the official name change of the East Oahu-based firm.

During the first quarter of 2015, possibly Feb. 1, Hawaii’s largest real estate company will become Locations, and will no longer be affiliated with Prudential Financial Inc. It began as Locations in 1969, and affiliated with Prudential Real Estate in 1994, taking on the name Prudential Locations.

“We’re still the same real estate firm our clients and agents know and love,” Chee said, “and we’re enthusiastic about our ability to better deliver the innovative tools and exemplary customer service that we’re known for.”

The company has five offices on Oahu and Maui with 300 agents. It is headquartered at 614 Kapahulu Ave. in Honolulu.
