Ho‘opili Project Gets ‘Go Ahead’
Ho‘opili has taken a step in the right direction, as the city Department of Planning and Permitting planning commission voted in favor of D.R. Horton Hawaii’s effort Dec. 3.
“With the state’s demand for affordable and attainable housing on the rise, the time to build Ho‘opili is now,” stated Bob Bruhl, president of D.R. Horton
Hawaii. “We are thrilled that the Planning Commission agrees, and we look forward to taking the next step in making Ho‘opili a reality.”
The East Kapolei community will be a mixed-use neighborhood that will include 11,750 affordable homes, as well as shops, restaurants, parks and more.
