Waipahu Adding Two Ophthalmologists
Hawaiian Eye Center, known for its cataract care, has been operating in Hawaii for more than 35 years and recently celebrated the grand opening of a new Waipahu location.
The public was invited to the Oct. 9 event, which offered refreshments, games and prizes, and the opportunity to meet the doctors and staff.
Located at Waipahu Medical Center, Hawaiian Eye Center moved into the space formerly occupied by Zobian Eye Clinic at 94-307 Farrington Hwy. B7-A.
“We are very excited to open our new location, because it allows us to accommodate and better serve patients in Central and Leeward Oahu,” stated Christopher Tortora, a board-certified ophthalmologist and medical director of Hawaiian Eye Center and Dry Eye Clinic.
He specializes in cataracts and glaucoma.
“The Waipahu clinic will join our others for patient care in Wahiawa and in Hilo on the Big Island.”
Tortora is joined by colleague Steven Rhee, also a board-certified ophthalmologist, and an “experienced cataract and corneal surgeon with subspecialty training in cornea and external disease.”
Hawaiian Eye Center makes a point to “continually invest in the latest and most advanced technologies,” Tortora noted.
At its newest location, the men promise personalized, quality service, cataract, glaucoma and diabetic eye care, as well as complete eye exams and an optical shop.
