Art + Flea @ Ward Village
Art + Flea, the popular monthly urban shopping event, takes place Aug. 28 from 5 to 10 p.m. at Ward Village.
This month’s theme is “House Party,” inspired by the popular ’90s movie starring Kid and Play. There will be live art exhibits, and live entertainment by Secret Record Store, The Late Ones, Scott Ohtoro and more. There also will be local craft vendors, food and drinks for purchase, a woodblock-printing workshop with Enginerd and a Build-A-Cake workshop with KristieCakes.
Activities include an eating contest at 8 p.m.; 3V3 Street Soccer Tournament by Paradise Soccer Club; and hourly raffle prizes from Ward Village merchants, including REAL a Gastropub, Consolidated Theatres and Dave & Buster’s.
Art + Flea began in 2010 with roughly 20 vendors and has since grown to an offering of more than 60 vendors each month, with as many as 1,200 guests in attendance. It made its Ward Village debut last month. Admission is $3 per erson. For more information, visit artandflea.com.
