Legislative Town Hall Thursday

Lawmakers representing Kaneohe and Kailua will host a town hall meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in Hale Akoakoa 105 at Windward Community College to discuss outcomes of the 2014 Legislature.

Sen. Jill Tokuda and Rep. Ken Ito also welcome comments and concerns from the community at the meeting, which will include fellowship and light refreshments.

State Sen. David Ige, who chairs the Senate Ways & Means Committee, will attend to report on the state budget. Education issues are also a focus for Tokuda, who chairs the Senate Education Committee and has met with administrators from all public schools in the state.
