Rebecca Ryan Wins A $150 Spree At Safeway

On Thursday, Rebecca Ryan decided to restock her cupboard, so she took a trip to Safeway on Kapahulu Avenue. As she left the store at 12:10 p.m., MidWeek‘s representative approached Rebecca with a simple question. She answered correctly and instantly won a $150 Safe-way shopping spree.

“Safeway has a good selection,” said this week’s Mystery Shopper, who recently retired from her job in social services. “Also, it’s a happening place. They give out samples to taste. It’s very accessible, and the employees are nice.”

Rebecca was born and raised in Colorado and moved to Hawaii in 1981. She lives in Waikiki and enjoys walking, exercising and volunteering.

She also likes to read Mid-Week.

“It’s very interesting,” she said. “It gives a good cross section on what’s going on on the island. Also, I always check out the pictures from the different events.”
