Free Sandals For Lifeguards

Hawaii footwear retailer Island Sole and popular brand OluKai have teamed up to give back to local lifeguards. Through OluKai’s partnership with the Hawaiian Lifeguard Association (HLA), Island Sole is inviting local lifeguards to stop by its Kahala Mall store April 16 between 6 and 7:30 p.m. to receive complimentary shoes and sandals from four styles in the OluKai spring collection.

The event will be hosted by Hawaiian Waterman Hall of Famer and OluKai Konohiki Archie Kalepa, giving consumers a chance to meet, greet and learn more about the lifeguard program. Island Sole is a proud supporter of OluKai and shares its commitment to the local community. The 2014 product donation will be the brand’s largest gift to date, with more than 1,500 pairs of shoes donated to outfit HLA lifeguards. A portion of the proceeds from every pair of HLA-inspired shoes or sandals sold benefits Hawaii’s Junior Lifeguard program to help train and inspire the next generation of lifeguards.
