Educational Summit To Address Thriving Kids
This year’s Castle Complex Education Summit will mix budding brains and ball games when it convenes at 6 p.m. April 15 at Windward Community College’s Hale Akoakoa.
Topic is “Making Your Children Champions for Success on Any Field,” aided by speakers Kathy Bentley of Kathy’s Parenting Solutions (a parent educator who works with families and teachers to overcome obstacles at home or in the classroom) and former Kahuku High and UH football veteran Walter Santiago, who worked as both defensive and offensive coordinator under former Kahuku head coach Reggie Torres.
Admission is free, and registration starts at 5:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided. The event is sponsored by WCC, the Castle Complex Community Council, the Castle/Kahuku Complex area and the state Department of Education.
