Waipahu Dentist Gives To ‘Smiles’ For Keiki
Now through June, Waipahu-based Hurtado Dental will donate 100 percent of proceeds from teeth-whitening procedures to local nonprofit Good Beginnings Alliance and the Smiles For Life Foundation.
Its efforts are part of the Crown Council’s 16th annual Smiles For Life Campaign. Patients who participate also will receive teeth-whitening procedures at a discounted rate.
Dr. Greg Hurtado and his team have raised $50,000 for the campaign since 2004.
“Smiles For Life allows our community to help children in need by doing something that benefits them as well,” stated Hurtado. “My team and I are happy to donate our time and expertise to help raise funds for worthy local and global charities to provide children a brighter future, while we give our patients a brighter smile.”
Good Beginnings Alliance advocates for educational, health and safety issues relating to young children. Its current campaign, Be My Voice! Hawaii, seeks to urge the state Legislature to fund preschool for all 4-year-olds.
