Spirit Run To Aid Project Grad

Sweat now, party later? The fifth annual Kalaheo 5K Spirit Run/Walk April 12 at Kailua Beach Park will benefit the high school’s Project Grad celebration for its senior class.

The race starts at 7:30 a.m., and the 3.1-mile course begins and ends at the park, just past Buzz’s Steakhouse, and loops through Lanikai. Entry fee is $25 before March 30, and $30 until race day. Discounts are available for faculty, students and military.

Register online at active.com by searching “Kalaheo.” Packet pickup will be April 10-11 at Kailua Village’s Jamba Juice from 5 to 8 p.m. or on race day at the starting line between 6:30 and 7:20 a.m.

Project Graduation is a drug- and alcohol-free post-graduation party for high school seniors.
