Wahiawa Lions Look Ahead To April Feast
While Lions are known as hungry kings of the jungle in other parts of the world, in Central Oahu they have a reputation for feeding people breakfast, not eating them.
The Mililani club just completed its spring breakfast March 9, and the Wahiawa club is gearing up for its annual spring feast April 6 with a ticket-selling campaign in the community.
Members will man a sales table from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 22 at Longs Drugs and at Tamura’s Market in Wahiawa. Tickets cost $7 and entitle the bearer to “an ono meal of fluffy Peterson Farm scrambled eggs, tasty sausage, steamed rice, fresh
Dole pineapple chunks, delicious biscuit, coffee and tea.”
Proceeds help to fund the club’s many service projects throughout the year, including scholarships for Leilehua High School’s graduating seniors.
