Surfing Legends To Talk Story in Kahuku
Surfer the Bar offers a Talk Story series at its venue in Turtle Bay Resort, featuring speakers in surfing and extreme water sports.
Hosted by longtime surf writer and media director Jodi Wilmott, the next program begins at 8 tonight (March 21) with renowned big-wave charger Darrick Doerner, who pioneered the sport of tow-surfing and also led the way in stand up paddling and windsurfing. For more than 20 years, he also was a North Shore lifeguard with Eddie Aikau, Brian Keaulana, Terry Ahue and Mark Cunningham.

* March 28 – Photography director for extreme sports worldwide, Mike Prickett, has been lead cinematographer for ASP World Tour of Surfing, and his exceptional images have been featured in iMax’s Ultimate Wave Tahiti and other surf films.
* April 4 – North Shore surf legend and pioneer wavefinder Randy Rarick founded Vans Triple Crown of Surfing and is an executive member of the Association of Surfing Professionals World Tour. He’s always searching for that perfect wave all over the world.
