Water Needs Seminar March 7 In Waimanalo
No one is more conscious of water conservation than a farmer, and Oahu Resource Conservation and Development Council wants to help Hawaii’s own by hosting a seminar next month on “Water Management Strategies – An Irrigation Management and Vetiver Workshop.”
The event, set for 9 a.m. to noon March 7 at Mulkern Nursery in Waimanalo, focuses on farm and nursery water needs, including micro-irrigation systems, efficient irrigation management techniques, vetiver benefits and tips, and financial advice.
A tour of the nursery’s conservation practices is included.
Interested participants must register by March 3 at watermgmtworkshop.eventbrite.com to reserve one of 25 seats. Admission is $6 per person, and no walk-ins will be accepted. The nursery is located at 41-639 Kaulukanu St.
