NFL Brothers Turn To Fitness

A new sports and fitness facility opened last week in Kaneohe, timed to usher in Hawaii’s Pro Bowl and realize the dream of two Kahuku brothers who have done well in the NFL.

Pacific Elite Sports Fitness Center offers a team of experts, the latest training equipment, physical therapy and nutrition services, and about 6,000 square feet of space in a former warehouse complex behind Windward Mall. Here Chris and Ma’ake Kemoeatu have assembled a team dedicated to physical fitness and health for both the beginning athlete and the seasoned veteran.

“Ma’ake and I never had access to this type of training or facility growing up in Kahuku,” said Chris Kemoeatu, formerly of the Pittsburgh Steelers (and the Kahuku Red Raiders), “so we jumped at the chance to give local, young athletes opportunities that we never had. AT PESFC, these kids will get the elite training they need to make it to the next level and realize their maximum potential, which is a longtime dream of ours.”

Between them, Chris and his brother Ma’ake (formerly of the Baltimore Ravens) have three Super Bowl championship rings and a commitment to help Hawaii’s upcoming athletes. The grand opening Jan. 24 included cocktails, healthy pupus, gift bags and autograph sessions with the NFL’s Antonio Brown, Maurkice Pouncey, Mike Pouncey, Terrell Suggs, Rey Maualuga and the Keamoeatus.
