Application Deadline Nears

Online applications are due by Feb. 15 for the annual First Wind college scholarship awards to Central and Windward Oahu students.

The Boston-based renewable energy developer will award $3,000 one-time grants and one renewable four-year $5,000 grant to qualified seniors attending public or private high schools in Wahiawa, Waialua, Haleiwa, Sunset, Kahuku and Laie. The students must have a 2.75 grade-point average and plan to enroll full time in undergraduate study focused on sciences, technology and/or engineering.

This is the fifth year the company has targeted Oahu communities.
