Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii – 12/25/13

Lea Jorgenson has been hired as an engineer by Kiewit Building Group Inc. Jorgenson, a project engineer, previously worked with West Coast Construction in Honolulu for nearly three years. A graduate of Mid-Pacific Institute, Jorgenson has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Hawaii.

Dr. Corilyn Pang has joined Kaiser Permanente Hawaii’s Waipio medical office. Pang earned her medical degree from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine, and completed both her residency in family medicine and fellowship in sports medicine at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Ill. Pang is a member of the Hawaii Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Ben Ancheta has been promoted to chief revenue officer at ProService Hawaii. He oversees sales and account management, client retention and new revenue growth. Ancheta joined ProService in 2007 as chief operating officer, and was most recently strategic accounts officer.

Arden Penton has been promoted to director of media and operations with Volta Industries LLC. In her new role, Penton oversees day-to-day operations and management of the Volta Network. She directs business and marketing strategy with Volta’s corporate partnerships and community relations programs, and leads new business development. Penton joined Volta in October 2012.

Janet Sablan has been named box office manager at Hawaii Theatre Center. She is responsible for overseeing the part-time staff and day-to-day operations of the box office. For the past eight years, Sablan was an administrative assistant at Mountain Apple Company. Prior to that, she worked for several advertising and public relations agencies.

Richard J. Sakoda, attorney at law, is now on Hale Kipa’s board of directors. The board welcomes Sakoda’s knowledge and more than 20 years of experience in law. As a partner at the law firm of Sterling & Tucker LLP, Sakoda helps families, including those of disabled individuals, plan for their future from a legal perspective. He specializes in estate planning, elder law, probate, trust administration, special needs planning for disabled individuals and their families, Medicaid planning, and estate and gift taxes.
