Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii – 11/20/13
Paul Kobayashi Jr. has been named vice president for administration and chief financial officer with the University of Hawaii Foundation. He will be responsible for directing all aspects of the University of Hawaii Foundation’s financial management, information systems and infrastructure, central development services and human resources management. He will also work closely with the board of trustees and in particular the executive, audit, real estate and investment committees of the board. Most recently, he served as the executive assistant to the vice president of budget and finance and chief financial officer for the University of Hawaii System.
Jason Morrison has been appointed chief engineer for the Battleship Missouri with The USS Missouri Memorial Association. He now is responsible for the maintenance of the retired battleship’s topside surfaces and underwater hull as well as repairing the teak decks and keeping the electrical systems, plumbing and air conditioning operational for the comfort of guests, volunteers and staff members. Previously, Morrison worked as an engineer and naval architect for Phoenix International Holdings in Honolulu.
Shannon Sheets has been appointed vice president and credit administrator at Central Pacific Bank. In her new position, Sheets is responsible for evaluating loan requests from existing and prospective clients, and helping with the due diligence process to ensure that loans are made in accordance with bank credit policies and regulatory requirements. Sheets has more than 18 years of financial and risk analysis experience, and more than two years of audit experience.
Philip Risken has been named vice president of engineering and chief technology officer with Mobi PCS. Risken will be responsible for Mobi network engineering, operations and information technology. He will also provide technical leadership related to regulatory compliance and cell-site development for all voice and data platforms. Risken has nearly 30 years of telecommunications industry experience.
