John Thomson Wins A $250 Kmart Shopping Spree

On a recent Wednesday, John Thomson needed oil for his car, so he stopped at Kmart in Kapolei. As he made his purchase at 2:15 p.m., MidWeek‘s representative approached John with a simple question. He answered correctly and instantly won a $250 Kmart shopping spree.

“It’s convenient and they have good products and prices,” said this week’s Mystery Shopper about shopping at Kmart.

A 1969 graduate of Kailua High School, John works in industrial sales. He has two children with wife Charity. In his free time, he enjoys riding his bicycle and playing drums. He also likes to read MidWeek.

“I like the different columnists, such as Michelle Malkin and Bob Jones,” he said. “And the stories are good.”
