Dine At Kunia Eatery, Help Raise $ For Kids
A well-loved Kunia restaurant will join the inaugural “Dining for Kids” next Monday, put on by PARENTS Inc. to mark October’s Children & Youth Month.
Auntie Pasto’s, located at 94-673 Kupuohi St., joins Chef Chai at Pacifica, Romano’s Macaroni Grill at Ala Moana Center and Side Street Inn in Kapahulu to invite the public to dine out to help prevent child abuse and neglect across the state.
Those who dine at Auntie Pasto’s between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. Oct. 21 can help raise funds for PARENTS, Inc.
The other remaining restaurants’ promotional days are as follows: * Romano’s Macaroni Grill – from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 15 * Side Street Inn Kapahulu – from 3 to 11:30 p.m. Oct. 22
“When a friend of ours brought it to our attention, we wanted to participate,” explained Auntie Pasto’s general manager David Kauka of the fundraiser. “It’s actually our first time participating in any kind of event like this.”
All four restaurant partners will donate a portion of a diner’s check to PARENTS Inc. All the customers have to do is let their server know that they will be “Dining for Kids” on the restaurants’ specified promotional days. Diners may print out a “Dining for Kids” flier to show servers, or display one on their mobile device.
After that, all that’s left to do is enjoy a delicious meal with family and friends knowing that you’ve eaten for a good cause.
“Coming together as a family over a meal is one of the most positive ways families can strengthen their bonds, and encourage sharing and caring,” stated PARENTS Inc. executive director Lisa Groulx.
“And we’re delighted to have Hawaii’s top restaurants and owners giving back and supporting our community in this way.”
