Halawa Halloween Party Oct. 25

Halloween will come early for the community’s youngest spooks at the Halawa Complex Halloween Costume Contest Oct. 25 at Halawa District Park.

The contest will be divided into five age groups: age 2 and under, 3-4 years old, grades K-1, grades 2-3, and 4-6.

Regardless of the contest’s outcome, everyone should come out a winner with a goodie bag and a trip down Trick ‘O Treat Lane.

The annual event is presented by the employees and volunteers of the city Department of Parks and Recreation’s Halawa Complex, which includes Fern and Moanalua community parks, Halawa District Park and Moanalua park swimming pool.

Registration is from 6:30 to 7 p.m., and the contest will start soon afterward.
