George Heaton IV has been appointed financial consultant for the Alii, Kaneohe and Maui branches of Hawaii State Federal Credit Union. He is registered through CUSO Financial Services L.P. (CFS) and works directly with credit union members, assisting them with retirement planning, strategic-asset allocation and wealth transfer. With more than 22 years of experience in the financial services industry, Heaton assists clients in meeting their financial objectives using a holistic approach to decision making and planning.
Geri Walker has been promoted to chief financial officer by the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii. In her new position, Walker will continue her controllership duties with additional responsibilities of financial management and reporting, operations and human resources. Walker joined the Chamber in 2007 as controller and office manager, and previously served as research administrator with Pacific Health Research Institute.
Nona Tamanaha has been named director of corporate HR, recruitment, training and development for Queen’s Health Systems. She will be responsible for Queen’s affiliate companies’ HR functions, system-wide recruitment and training and development. Prior to accepting this position, for the past five years Tamanaha served as regional director of human resources for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. for Hawaii and French Polynesia.
Alvin Park has been named marketing coordinator of the sales, marketing and revenue management department with Aston Hotels & Resorts. In his new position, Park will coordinate various public relations efforts and marketing programs. He has internship experience in public relations and communications with Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Honolulu communications firm Hastings & Pleadwell.
Frances Ueunten has joined Property Profiles Inc. as a sales broker. She brings her extensive experience and knowledge in residential real estate to the property profiles team of sales agents. Prior to joining Property Profiles Inc., Ueunten was a sales broker with RE/MAX Honolulu.
Liane Usher has been appointed president of Children’s Discovery Center. She will oversee the development of the center’s exhibits and education programs and manage all day-to-day operations. Usher formerly was director of exhibits and programs at the center and has been at the helm of the center’s educational programs for the past 12 years.
