Chamber Music Fall Season To Debut Local Composer’s Work
The 32nd Chamber Music Hawaii concert series opens next week at Paliku Theatre with a performance by its Tresemble musicians.
The concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Windward Community College venue, featuring selections from Max Bruch, Walter Rabl and Ernst von Dohnanyi.
(Tresemble refers to a combined ensemble of mixed instrumentation, where musicians and guests may play piano, harp and wind instruments, as well as feature vocalists.)
The 2013-2014 season also will add shows at the new UH West Oahu campus library, and the Nov. 11 Paliku concert will feature the world premiere of Kailua composer Daniel Morse’s piece for harpsichord.
