Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii – 7/24/13
Michael Robinson, executive director of philanthropy and government relations at Hawaii Pacific Health, has been granted the American Hospital Association Grassroots Championship Award. As a 2013 Grassroots Champion, Robinson is being recognized for his exceptional leadership in generating grassroots and community activity in support of a hospital’s mission.
Kevin Johnson has joined Graham Builders as architectural designer. His duties include designing and developing custom home plans, guiding homeowners during the design process, and creating plan and specification packages for the construction process. Johnson has more than 10 years of design experience. Prior to joining Graham Builders, he served as a photo-voltaic designer at Energy Industries.
Lynn Wong has been promoted to vice president and manager in First Hawaiian Bank’s consumer credit center. She now is responsible for managing the credit quality for consumer loan and credit card portfolios, as well as developing loan policies and underwriting guidelines. She has more than 30 years of banking experience and began her banking career at First Hawaiian as a personnel interviewer.
Megan Meyer has been selected as director of institutional advancement and alumnae relations for La Pietra Hawaii School for Girls. Her major focus at the school will be on gift development, alumnae relations and special events and outreach projects. For the past six years, Meyer directed an outreach program at Island Pacific Academy.
Kelly Ong has been hired as Sacred Hearts Academy’s varsity volleyball coach. She most recently served as Saint Louis School assistant varsity coach and head statistician for the University of Hawaii men’s volleyball program. Additionally, Ong was club director at Elite Sports Academy. Earlier in her career, she was the Iolani School assistant girls’ varsity coach.
Francene Batalon has been appointed dental plan specialist with Hawaii Dental Group’s Hoala Dental Program. She will be the new point of contact for the Hoala Dental Program and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, including member enrollment and data maintenance. Prior to her promotion, Batalon acquired knowledge and experience in the dental industry while assisting patients of Hawaii Family Dental Centers as a patient services representative.
Christian Adams has joined Bonterra Solar as a partner and sales director. He will oversee photovoltaic and solar sales in both the residential and commercial divisions. Adams has worked with a number of solar companies, as well as a large electrical contracting firm in Hawaii.
