Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii
Mike Kelly has been hired as president and general manager of ESPN 1420/1500 AM. Kelly will have overall responsibilities for all of the radio stations’ programming and business operations. Previous to ESPN 1420 and 1500, Kelly served in various leadership roles in Honolulu radio for more than 27 years, most recently as vice president and general manager of Cox Radio Hawaii. Kelly is also a veteran of the Hawaiian music scene and has been manager of the legendary Hawaiian music band Olomana.
Megumi Haubner has been named regional marketing and public relations manager, Far East, for Hilton Hawaii. Haubner now oversees Hilton Hawaii’s marketing and public relations for the Asia market, focusing on Japan, China and Korea.
Dustin Sellers has been appointed the new chairman of The Nature Conservancy’s Corporate Council for the Environment (CCE). Sellers is president of business development and marketing for ProService Hawaii, the state’s largest employee administration firm.
Cheryl Ann Vierra has joined Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties Leeward office. Vierra has nearly 20 years of real estate experience. Prior to joining CBP in December 2011, she served as a Realtorassociate at Realty Group.
Masako McCarter, an administrative assistant at The Royal Hawaiian was named Outstanding Lodging Employee of the Year at the Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association’s (HLTA) Na Poe Pa’ahana (the hardworking people) awards luncheon at the Sheraton Waikiki. She was selected to receive the award based on her exceptional professionalism, service on the job and outstanding community service.
