May Cancer Relay Needs Runners

Runners from across Oahu are getting ready to show their commitment in the fight against cancer. The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life begins at 6 p.m. May 24 at Kahuku District Park and ends at 6 a.m. May 25.

The annual event includes entertainment, food, fun activities and is a way to raise money for the Cancer Society and to celebrate those who have battled cancer and remember those lost to the disease.

The relay is looking for businesses, community organizations and individuals looking to participate by forming teams and getting involved in the planning. For more information, call Don Porter at 548-8444.
