Ainu Treasures: A Living Tradition in Northern Japan
East-West Center Gallery, weekdays 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Sun. 12-4 p.m., call for cost. Like many other indigenous people throughout the world, the Ainu have taken initiative to revive their traditional culture, including a project for Ainu artists to make replicas of Ainu artifacts owned by various museums.
