Feast Of Food For Star Of Sea Fans

Star of the Sea Church and School shines its light on happy eating from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday as guests sample tasty offerings from 22 chefs and restaurants at its 2013 East Honolulu Food and Wine Festival.

About 2,000 guests are expected for the eighth annual parish fundraiser. Tickets cost $60 in advance or $70 at the door, with children ages 3 to 13 admitted for $25. VIP tables go for $1,200 and $3,000. For reservations, call 734-0396.

Kona Winds featuring Mary B., and Greg Gabaylo, juggler and hypnotist, will entertain the adults. Also planned are a silent auction and a keiki corner of games and rides.

Supporters should come with empty stomachs in order to properly enjoy the offerings of A Cup of Tea, Adega Portuguesa, Big City Diner, Catering Kalima’s, Cooking Fresh for You, Da Spot Health Foods & Juices, Dave & Buster’s, Elite Catering, 5-0 Hawaiian Style Smoked Ribs, Gourmet Goods, Grand Cafe & Bakery, Gyotaku, JJ’s French Bistro, Kahala Nui, Kona Brewing Company, Maile’s Thai Bistro, Ninja Sushi, Opulicious, Romano’s Macaroni Grill, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and Soul Patrol.
