Boating Skills and Seamanship

“Embodied”
Gallery of Hawaii Artists, until April 22, Mon.-Fri. 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., call for cost. Honolulu-based artist Emily Sewell challenges her viewers to contemplate to contemplate how through a simple shift of perspective, materials can be seen as metaphors and processes as daily interactions. “Embodied” is comprised of selections from several bodies of work that deal with such concepts as corporeality, memory, emotion and tactility. Spring Reading Program
Kapolei Public Library, March 18-30, free. The eight annual Kapolei Public Library Spring Reading Program. Children sixth grade and younger are invited to sign up for the Spring Reading Program, which encourages reading at least 20 minutes a day. Congressional Gold Medal

Iolani Palace Docent Training Course
Iolani Palace, Mondays until May 20, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., $20. Docent training begins with guardian service, followed by successful completion of the Royal History Course. The nine-week Docent Training Course will add to your knowledge of the Palace and monarchy era history, develop your public speaking skills and prepare you to share the Iolani Palace with friends, family and visitors from around the world.
