Project Seeks Zone Change

The city Department of Planning and Permitting currently is reviewing a zone change application for the proposed Live, Work, Play Aiea.

The mixed-use community that would feature residential, retail and commercial spaces that would occupy 13.99 acres of land at 98-850 Moanalua Road in Aiea.

The application, submitted by CP Kam Properties, seeks to rezone the land from a Community Business District with a 60-foot height limit to a Community Business Mixed Use District with a 350-foot height limit where the Kam Swap Meet currently is held.

The city welcomes public comments regarding the rezoning application. Reference project file number 2013/Z-3 in your comments.

Written comments must be submitted by March 25. Comments submitted after this date will be passed along to the Planning Commission and City Council.

The application material is available for viewing at the Department of Planning and Permitting from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, or at the Pearlridge Satellite City Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
