June Oda Wins A $250 Foodland Shopping Spree
June Oda needed some groceries to make sandwiches and bentos for her kids and grandkids, so on Thursday she took a trip to Foodland in Wahiawa. As she made her purchase at 9:45 a.m., MidWeek‘s representative approached June with a simple question. She answered correctly and instantly won a $250 Foodland spree.
“I’m here at Foodland five days of the week,” said this week’s Mystery Shopper, a retired clerk. “Also, I like shopping here because the workers are really nice, and everything is so clean.”
June, a 1952 graduate of St. Andrews Priory, was born and raised in Wahiawa. She has two children, three grandsons and one greatgrandchild on the way. Her hobby is taking care of her older friends.
She also likes to read MidWeek. “I really like the photos,” she said. “And I like to read Ron Nagasawa’s column.”
