Keiki Storytime
Kailua Public Library, Wednesdays until March 27, 10:30 a.m., free. Recommended for ages 2 to 5. Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Jazz Night In Aiea

Hawaii Cocktail Week

Ainu Treasures: A Living Tradition in Northern Japan
East-West Center Gallery, weekdays 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Sun. 12-4 p.m., call for cost. Like many other indigenous people throughout the world, the Ainu have taken initiative to revive their traditional culture, including a project for Ainu aritsts to make replicas of Ainu artifacts owned by various museums. Hawaii Meth Project Hosts “Take a Stand Against Meth” Teen Art Display
Hawaii State Capitol – Chamber leve, foyer, until March 22, 7:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m., closed holidays, free. The “Take a Stand Against Meth” contest challenged Hawaii teens to create original works of art inspired by content from the website methproject.org. Works in any style or medium, with the exception of videos, were eligible for entry. (hawaiimethproject.org)

Hawaiian Heritage Plants Art Exhibition
Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden, open daily, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., call for cost. In honor of the Makahiki season, Hoomaluhia will be featuring an art exhibit on plants that traveled to the islands in the sailing canoes of the early voyagers who became the Hawaiians. (233-7323)
