Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii
Kenneth Silva, retired Honolulu Fire Department chief, has been named CEO of Hawaii State Chapter of the American Red Cross. Silva served as fire chief for the last seven years and has more than 30 years of leadership, supervisory, administrative and command experience with the fire department.
Bill Grant has been hired as a business development manager working out of the Finance Factors downtown branch. He will assist borrowers in creating custom mortgage solutions to build, refinance and purchase residential real estate. Grant also will represent Finance Factors’ line of wholesale portfolio loan products. He brings to the position more than 23 years of lending experience in Hawaii and most recently served as senior home equity specialist for Bank of Hawaii.
Shaun Mitsui has been appointed vice president and private banking officer at Central Pacific Bank. In his new capacity, he is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of highly valued clients in loan and deposit accounts. Mitsui brings to the position more than 10 years in the banking industry, and served most recently as Bank of Hawaii’s vice president and branch manager.
Virg Palank has been named human resources manager for Island Movers and other affiliated logistic companies under Hawk Tree International. She previous served as human resources manager at Hilo Hattie. In her new capacity, Palank will oversee recruitment, staff development, compliance and other HR functions.
Craig P. Wagnild will lead the Hawaii State Bar Association as president of the organization for the remainder of the year. One of his main objectives in his new position will be to reach out and better inform the Hawaii community about the important role attorneys play in protecting the rights and interests of all people. Wagnild is a real estate, corporate and business attorney at Bays Lung Rose & Holma.
