Seven Vie For Miss Latina Title

The Miss Latina Hawaii Scholarship Pageant Saturday at Mamiya Theatre will highlight the talents and smarts of seven contestants, and the public is invited to witness the event, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The young women are competing for the crown, which is the Hispanic com- munity’s entry to the Miss Hawaii Pageant. They will be tested via private interview, lifestyle and fitness in sports-wear, talent, evening wear, on-stage question and scholastic achievement. They are Gabriella Sheindlin, Christina Linares, Jasmyne Garay, Keoni Maldonado-Diaz, Dzidzielia Trevino- Marquez, Carin Young and Steisha Sheather.
