Diamond Head Theatre Readies ‘Ladies’ Farce
Two struggling English Shakespearean actors find trouble when they try to impersonate the long-lost relatives of an elderly woman with a hefty fortune. Comedy ensues in Leading Ladies, a the play set in the 1950s, when the actors realize the relatives they thought were nephews are actually nieces.
Directing and playing the lead roles of the two actors, Jack and Leo, in this Diamond Head Theatre presentation are Rob Duval and Paul Mitri – both theater veterans. Tricia Marciel plays the vivacious Meg, and Leiney Rigg is the sweet but ditzy Audrey.
Leading Ladies runs Feb. 1-17, with performances at 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 4 p.m. Sundays. Saturday matinees begin at 3 p.m. Feb. 9 and 16.
