Miss Wu Collection Debuts Exclusively At Nordstrom
The MISS WU Collection by Jason Wu debuts exclusively at Nordstrom this month, featuring many of the designer’s signatures – beautiful fabrics, exclusive prints and impeccable detailing.
The collection is described as having “a relaxed downtown attitude with the spirit of a modern but strong gamine.” There also is a subtle 1960s inspiration and some of Wu’s favorite elements, including whimsical prints, charming dresses and bold colors. You’ll also find striped knits and his signature hand-painted stripes on blouses and skirts, as well as embroidered sequin circles and lace prints in tops and dresses, and brightly hued tweed dresses and jackets that are trimmed with chiffon. Other prints include a “falling feather” print, a blue pop-art print and a photo-negative floral print in shirts, shift dresses and A-line dresses. And there are feminine bow blouses, gros-grain collared shirts, and leather details in jackets and dresses for a bit of toughness.
The debut spring/summer 2013 collection consists of 40 pieces, and will retail between $195 and $795. For its inaugural year, the collection will be carried exclusively at 49 Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom.com. In 2014, the distribution for MISS WU will expand nationally and internationally, with plans to expand product categories.
The face of MISS WU is model Meghan Collison, who appears in the collection lookbook shot by Simon Burstall, and in a short film by director Todd Cole with Lori Goldstein as the stylist.
