Well-known blind musician Ron Miyashiro and friends visit the Library for the Blind & Physically Handicapped at 10 a.m. Dec. 13, bringing Christmas songs of the past and present to the Kapahulu campus (733-8444) … Kudos to Kalani and Kaimuki high schools, which came in third and fourth, respectively, in the 2012 Shop and Score promotion, winning a share of the $250,000 statewide fund for athletic uniforms and equipment … Hanauma Bay has its own, custom-designed ornament on sale at Honolulu City Lights, complete with a snorkeling Shaka Santa … Kaimuki’s Kelly Morikone, a Kalani High valedictorian, recently graduated from UH law school and has been hired as an associate by Damon Key Leong Kupchak Hastert to work in the firm’s immigration field … The governor honored East Oahu businessman and longtime community servant John Henry Felix Nov. 9 for his role in establishing Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
