Getting Fat At Kailua’s New Greek Restaurant

The flavors of The Fat Greek have arrived on the Windward side where the fourth restaurant in the company has settled into Enchanted Lake Shopping Center.

It replicates the Waikiki location with sit-down service as opposed to takeout, and customers dine amid thick columns that evoke the Acropolis (without crumbling). The menu also is similar to its sister locations, but with a few unique items, such as Mediterranean Crab Cake, Rib-Eye Steak, Fish of the Day and homemade cheesecake.

“Greek food is great!” declared kitchen manager Cole Caires.

“The flavors are different; you get to try something new.”

And one can try something new every day of the week. The Fat Greek in Kailua is open from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday-Wednesday; 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday-Sunday.
