Belated Reunion With An Angel
Aloha Pamela,
I was in a cycling accident back in 2010 and I wrote a thank you to all the people who helped me on this day with a description of an angel who rushed me to the hospital in her car.
At the time, I was hoping that someone would come forward and tell me who this angel was. However, this was not to be.
A couple of months ago, I got a call from a woman who asked how I was doing. She described the accident and how she was so afraid for me that she had no second thoughts about rushing me to the hospital.
She was going through some old MidWeek papers and saw the article and decided to call after looking up my name in the phone book.
I would like to finally give her a huge APPLAUSE and publicly thank her for what she did for me on that day.

Dear Jay,
The moral is: Keep your MidWeeks! We’re glad Pam Motokane reconnected with you to receive her well-deserved APPLAUSE.
Hi Pamela,
My family and I were aboard a Hawaiian Airlines flight that flew to Las Vegas when my 5-year-old son lost consciousness.
I quickly went to a flight attendant for help and explained to him my situation. A short while later, there was an announcement in the cabin asking for anyone with medical background to offer their assistance.
That is when our “angels” appeared, ready and willing to help. If I remember correctly, he was an EMT and she was a nurse.
They began asking my husband and me questions while checking my son’s vitals, and knew exactly what they needed from the flight attendants.
They were absolutely great, and I thank God they were there to help my son.
About 45 minutes into our flight, the decision was made to turn the plane around and head back to Oahu.
Once we landed, everything happened so fast and I regret not having the chance to properly thank them.
My family and I would like to express our utmost appreciation to the flight attendants and the two who stayed by our sides until we landed.
Thank you so very much for stepping forward and helping my little one. We will always be thankful to you all.
