• STAR PARTY Hawaiian Astronomical Society brings its telescopes to Dillingham Airfield from 6 p.m. to midnight Oct. 13 for a monthly star-gazing party. The public is welcome but there’s restricted entry. Visit hawastsoc.org.
• BAND FEST The Leilehua and Mililani high school bands play in the 10th annual Menehune Classic marching band festival at 6 p.m. Oct. 13 at Moanalua High. Tickets cost $7 and $3 at the gate. Call 447-8522.
