Lawrence Asano Wins A $250 Spree At City Mill

Lawrence Asano needed plastic sheeting to make a barrier for the family dog, so on Thursday he and wife Laura took a trip to City Mill in Mililani.

As they made their purchase at 12:30 p.m., MidWeek’s representative approached Lawrence with a simple question. He answered correctly and instantly won a $250 City Mill shopping spree.

“I like shopping at City Mill because the people are nice,” said this week’s Mystery Shopper, a retired computer programmer. “Also, it’s very convenient — I live three blocks away.”

Lawrence was born and raised in Hilo, and graduated from Hilo High School in 1958. He has two grown children and enjoys gardening and woodworking. He also likes to read MidWeek.

“I like all the food ads,” he said. “I also like to read the Central Islander insert and Pamela Young’s column.”
