Relieving Party-Planning Stress
Events made easy is what Eve Colton In, president and owner of In Concierge Services, aims to do. Having always dreamed of owning her own business, it was in August 2009 when she decided to turn that dream into reality.
“Five years ago, while working at the USS Missouri Memorial coordinating members’ and VIP events, I thought why not coordinate parties for my own business? I have always enjoyed giving and attending parties and events,” says In, who focuses her Aiea business on corporate and nonprofit events.
“I plan all aspects of the event starting with the theme and venue, invitations, entertainment, refreshments, decorations, party favors and publicity (if needed),” she adds. “I have coordinated employee retirement parties, golf tournaments, employee appreciation parties, wine tastings and more.”
In’s philosophy is to go above and beyond her clients’ expectations. Detail-oriented, she works within her clients’ budget and listens to what they hope to accomplish.
“I am hired by the hour or by the project. I have a passion for what I do and I am fun to work with,” she says. “I outsource the services I need, and I can recruit my husband, Timothy, to assist as needed. I could not be successful if it wasn’t for his support.”
In was born and raised outside of Philadelphia and has experience working in printing sales and advertising.
“Because of my many business contacts, I know where to get answers for what my client wants,” In says. “My goal is to have the client enjoy themselves and have fun at their event while I take care of the details.”
In is already working on events for the upcoming holiday season, and she hopes to relieve the burden and stress when it comes to planning any occasion.
“Nonprofit organizations need now, more than ever, to fundraise in different and creative ways – that’s where I can assist as well,” In says.
